We are Throw Poi
A juggling collective founded in 2017 by Antonia Maerker and Keith Marshall.
Inspired by our enthusiasm about Poi Juggling as a new and emerging technique in the juggling world, we initially focused on creating new concepts, patterns and partner juggling.
Deeply valuing the language of juggling as an art form, we place ourselves in a landscape where performance art meets juggling, with a focus on rhythm, shapes, dynamics and new techniques of object manipulation.
We create intimate shows about each other and our relationship with the objects we play with, while exploring uncharted territories and props.
Our work is non-verbal, and represents a visual language suited to a wide range of audiences.

Antonia Maerker
Originally from Germany, I am a Scottish based juggler and physical theatre performer.
Having trained Mime at the Etage, Berlin and training juggling auto-didactically and through masterclasses, my interests are the body – the human one and the one of objects, and how the one interacts with the other.
What can we express through movement with objects which isn’t possible to say with words?
My disciplines are Poi Juggling, Hoop, Balls, Head balances of a diverse range of objects as well as combining different juggling skills.

Keith Marshall
I am a Scottish Juggler who started juggling juggling in 2006.
New ideas which push what is possible in juggling, or the one which open up completely new ones, excite me most in juggling.
In my training, I am fast and chaotic, often switch techniques and props. I love constantly asking: What if?
My disciplines are Poi Juggling, Clubs, Balls, Hoops, Rings and Staffs.
